HAPPY NEW YEAR!

 

I know! The year is already five days old, so its not so new but this is my first post in 2010 so I have to welcome you to a new year/decade. I can’t believe that I haven’t shared my thots with you since last year. Time does fly, especially around the end of the year – the ‘ber’ months. Although this is my first post in the new year, there will be no top ten lists from me. There is an abundance of that on the Web so am assuming you have had your fill of all things lists.

Web Design School

School of Web design?

 

A recent tweet from SitePoint spawned this post. It was a question that was posted to SitePoint’s forum by one of its members: HOW DO I LEARN WEB DESIGN?

 

It got me thinking of a time when I was wearing those similar shoes: wondering what would be the ‘proper’ way to go about improving my web design skills, frantically searching for schools with the adequate curriculum and the ‘right’ tuition fees, making sure that I was taught the proper material and I don’t break the bank in the process. The following thots are based on my experience.

Firefox: A Web Professional’s tool kit.

As far as Web browsers go, Firefox is arguably the best out there, that is my personal opinion and outright endorsement of an amazing product of Web technology. Firefox is fast, uncomplicated and customizable to your liking. According to these browser statistics, Firefox had 47.4% of the browser usage for the month of August, 2009, surpassing Google Chrome, Safari, Opera and all currently-supported versions of Internet Explorer.
